When I began the process of making "Teshuvah" or turning to YHWH and following the way of life set down by Rabbeinu Moses and by Moshiach (Messiah) Yeshua ben Yosef--who people today refer to as "Jesus Christ" it became very clear that I had made a dreadful mistake by changing my name from "Timothy Ehrmantrout" to "Dallas Crockett" during my drug addiction years before knowing the Lord YHWH.  I say it was a "dreadful mistake" because after coming to faith, I began studying about my relationship with my Heavenly Father and also how that relationship correlated with and should be visible in my relationship with my earthly Father.  I learned  how I was to honor my earthly Father as a representative of YHWH Himself and no matter what crimes I had "perceived" him to be guilty of when I was growing up--I was to honor and obey my Father (and Mother) the same way I would honor and revere YHWH (God). 

          Sadly, and like many of us, I treated my parents just like I treated YHWH for the first half of my life--which meant that I ignored them and their desires for me.  Of course this resulted in the "realm of death" being opened wide and long; and I ate the fruit of that disorder--and lack of Wisdom for many wasted years.  The Torah, traditionally considered the 1st 5 books of the Bible is God's will full of "wisdom" for our lives.  In Torah's position as ultimate "Wisdom from YHWH" it can redirect the course of your life--from frailty and weakness to strength and endurance but the choice is ours whether or not we will obey those instructions.  These are the "Instructions" that "Lead to Life" and the few that find them--never die.  They "lead to life" because they are the roadmap to submissive harmony and unification with the Creator--blessed be He.  All who scorn them will die and they are the only way to lengthen the days of a Man's life.  No amount of eating right, exercise and weight control will extend your days beyond what YHWH has established; but YHWH instructs us thusly in 1 Peter 3:10 where it says "For, Whoever would love life and see good days must keep his tongue from evil and his lips from deceitful speech."

          With these new revelations I had my Attorney go back to the Court and attempted to reinstate my original name while I finished my period of supervised release; this took place around 1999.  The Judge ruled that since the Government records were now in the name "Crockett" that he felt that it would be best for me to not shake up the system by putting in a new change.  Thus, the Judge ordered that in the name of "Crockett" I would stay; and when a Federal Judge makes that call, then your best bet is to just say "Yes Sir."  I was deeply grieved about this ruling until I read a verse by the Shaliach Apostle Sha'ul (Paul) which reads in paraphrase,  "All Authority that is in Authority has been placed in Authority by YHWH; and they are His Servants to do His will."  This allowed me to ease my mind over the matter and I called my Father Milo Ehrmantrout and repented to Him for ever disrespecting Him in such a way and I committed the matter to the Lord.

          So from 1999 to 2007, things went on as they had for many years.  I use my Hebrew Name from Bar Mitzvah which is "Ariel" as my first name; much akin to the same  way that "Shimeon ben Yonah" became known as "Kepha ben Yonah" after Yeshua Messiah changes his name.  It is common practice in Judaism to do this.  After moving my family to California in 2007, we were looking up the laws for the State about transferring our car licenses--which one must do when you move to a new State.  We now live in a post 9/11 world and as many of you know if you cannot find your identification it is not just an inconvenience--but now it becomes a matter of homeland security!!  Somehow, when moving, my beloved Wife Sarah, had moved my birth certificate somewhere…..and now she could not find it.  Well, I was born in Idaho--Coeurd'Alene, Idaho to be exact and so I thought well I will just order a new Birth Certificate and have it overnighted to California.  So my wife contacted the Vital Statistics Department and paid them over the phone for getting my replacement.  Now this is where the story gets interesting.

          The following day my Birth Certificate arrives at our home by special carrier, and my wife brings it to me; but her beautiful smile was turned upside down and I looked at her and asked "what's wrong?"  She pulled the Birth Certificate out of the package and I was shocked and mesmerized to see that EHRMANTROUT was the name on the new Birth Certificate. 

          Well, we immediately called the place to see why this mistake was not corrected--only to find out that it was NEVER changed.  Meaning, when one changes their name for Marriage or for Stalkers or whatever the reason, the Court Order required to make the process legal was to be sent by the Court Clerk to the Department of Vital Statistic's in the State in which you are born.  Well, somehow, someway--not understanding how, the Spokane County Clerks Office could not find my official name change document.  Someone had misplaced it--or stolen it--or sneezed on it and threw it the trash can; or most likely, the Clerk forgot to fill it out.  It existed, the current Court Clerk could see it electronically--but there was not a hard copy in existence and thus, it never was sent to the Department of Vital Statistics and permanently changed on my Birth Certificate.

          GREAT I thought to myself, now what??  So I called our family Attorney's who referred me to a specialist in Washington Law.  The Attorney said my best bet was to fly from Southern California up to Olympia and petition the Court all over again--explaining what happened and just have my name legally changed again.  WHAT?  I shrieked like a person being forced to hear someone scratch their fingernails down a chalkboard.  I said "LOOK ALL I AM TRYING TO DO IS TRANSFER OVER MY DRIVERS LICENSE FROM OREGON TO CALIFORNIA……….NOW I HAVE TO GO THROUGH ALL THIS??"  Then I heard a 35 minute speech about why this was all necessary; Attorneys--yep this was going from bad to worse!

          So finally, I get on the phone with a California Lawyer and I heard the same thing, except I would have to do it in California to make sure my Drivers License would be recognized by this States DMV.  Well, suddenly it dawned on me--for not always am I the brightest light in the fridge--but all of these doors were being closed for me and suddenly I realize that it was the Lord YHWH trying to get my attention.  I realized that the dream I had of having my Fathers name back--that I thought had died forever--just became a real possibility.  Because if I had to go back through the process all over again--I might as well bring "Tikkun" or restorative repair to the sin that I committed against my Father so many years before when I was out of my mind with the drugs. 

          So I called my Father and said "Dad, you'll never guess what has happened and what I am going through….." and he listened patiently as I laid this out for his consideration.  Finally I came to the real point and said "Dad, would you like me to restore the name you gave me?"  And my Father laughed a little, and said, "Well Son, I know who you are, and you can call yourself 'Barney' for all I care--it hadn't effected me knowing who you are."  But if that is something you would like to do, I would be very honored and so would Mom if you had our name again."

          So I sat down with my Wife, and said "What do you think?"  Now you have to understand--Sarah loves my Father A GREAT DEAL.  So for Sarah the answer was simple.  "God has given us a way to repair what had been broken so many years ago--and I think that we should do whatever we have to fix it while your Father is still alive."  We had been talking about adding our Hebrew Names as legal second names since we are known by them exclusively anyway…..YHWH had just opened the door for us to bring repair to a part of the world that needed it very much.  So we went through the process.  But YHWH knew something that we didn't know--that some man had stolen my identity as DALLAS CROCKETT  and was a long haul Truck Driver from here in California.  When we appeared before the Judge in Riverside County Superior Court--the Judge looked at me and said "Did you know your California license is suspended?"  I said "Wow your Honor--that would be a neat trick--because I have never had a California Drivers License before."  The Judge called a recess and the Sheriff's Officials took my Oregon License, ran it, and brought it back to me.

          Well, to make a longer story short, the Judge informed us that my Identity had been stolen by a long haul trucker who was wanted in California and a few other places.  GOD WAS PROTECTING ME WITHOUT MY HAVING A CLUE AS TO WHAT HAD HAPPENED.  It was then that the Scripture which says "ALL things work TOGETHER for the GOOD for those who LOVE THE LORD (meaning to Obey His Torah--remember "If you LOVE ME you will KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS")  and are CALLED according to HIS PURPOSES."  Being His Messenger, I am called for the "Gifts and Callings of the Lord YHWH are WITHOUT REPENTANCE" meaning that they are not subject to my behavior but to the giver of the Calling and this will never change.

          So we explained this whole story to the Judge, he made notes on the CROCKETT case file that it was not in ANY WAY affiliated with Me or my family and the Judge signed the order RESTORING THE NAME MY FATHER GAVE ME: EHRMANTROUT.  I am called today by the Name that my Heavenly Father gave me at my "Bar Mitzvah"--when HE called me to the Torah for the first time to become a "Son of the Commandments" which is also my legal name ARIEL EHRMANTROUT.  Why do I tell you this detail about my life?  Because the enemies of the Messiah would like to make it seems as though there is something "foul" or "off color" about why I changed my name in the first place--and in the interest of full disclosure it is a matter of public record--including the Judges instructions and my responses as well as Sarah's in Riverside County California.  What haSatan meant for my destruction--that I did not even know had happened--YHWH protected me from through a series of circumstances that at the time seemed to be frustrating and troublesome.  But in the end--looking back over this, I can still remember my Mom Nina Ehrmantrout--being blessed by my restoration as well as the tears that welled up in my Fathers eyes as the Son that was once dead to Him--was now very much alive; and He lived long enough to "See the goodness of the Lord in the land of the Living."

          There is another aspect to this story; as many of you know I was a bad Catholic for the majority of my youth.  I got kicked off the squad of "Altar Boys" at our local Franciscan Catholic Church, because I refused to stop falling asleep and missing the cues for ringing the hand bells which the Franciscan Priests never seemed to find nearly as funny as I did.  I visited many Churches and flavors of religions throughout the course of my youth and young adulthood.  I was Catholic and thus a "Christian" in name only--because I was definitely a non-practicing Catholic.  It was not MY FAITH, so I found it easy to flutter from one place to the next.  I've been to Baptist, Charismatic Renewal, Methodist, African American Church of God in Christ to Church of God, Non-Denominational and everything in between. 

          But when I found out that my last name was a Jewish name--from the line of Aaron the Kohen Gadol or High Priest of the Levites, something snapped within me forever.  I began researching "Onomastics" which is the scientific study of the foundations of names and their root meanings.  One of the finest educators is Onomastics Professor and researcher Dr. Nelly Weiss.  The origin of the surname is of particular importance--because you will see in a minute why it makes a huge difference and why God kept this all moving in the systematic direction that He did down through the centuries.  The SURNAME "EHRMAN" is a specific marker located within the name according to Dr. Weiss, it is a variant spelling on the name "AHARON"--or as we say it today "Aaron."  According to Dr. Weiss's research, anyone with the prefix "EHRMAN" is a direct blood descendant according to the latest Onamastic research to AHARON, the brother of Moses the High Priest of Israel.  Further research supports Dr. Weiss hypothesis:

"Ehrman"

1. Jewish (Ashkenazic): variant of AHARON Ehrmann.
2. Americanized spelling of German EHRMANNEhrmann  

The second half of the name most likely started out as an occupation listing. TROUT which could have been a signifier of "FISHERMAN" --and if you put that all together--phonetically, it appears "EHR"--or "Aaron's" - "MAN" --or "Son," then "TROUT" or "The Fisherman."   Now putting this all together according to Dr. Weiss we would be stating "AHARONS SON"--The FISHERMAN: EHRMANNTROUT--which was the original spelling of the name.

          Now I am blessed to be married to a Jewish Woman, my Sarah is Jewish on both her Mother and Father's side of the family; in the Jewish Generations Database her Fathers name and her Mothers Maiden names are among the most common Jewish surnames.  In fact, her Fathers last name is "HODEL" like the character in "Fiddler on the Roof!"  Pronounced as "HA-DULL" phonetically.  Sarah's Mother is a "LEWIS" which is widely known as the Americanization of the Priestly Tribe of "LEVITES" or the Priests of the Temple.  Now what makes this even more special, is that when Sarah and I married we did not know of my connection to the Priesthood as demonstrated above.  Now undoubtedly some "Halachic Wanna-bee" out there will say "Ariel, you are not Jewish, because your Mother was Catholic" and by today's standard of  "Conservative Halachic Interpretation" you would be correct if Rabbinic Halacha were the only variable.

          However, you would be incorrectly leaving out a very powerful claim to the Jewishness of my lineage if you did that, because any Rabbi worth their salt, such as the well known expert on conversion to Judaism, Sephardic Orthodox Rabbi Marc D. Angel, of  New York City, will tell you that as an expert on the Torah and Halachic conversion within Judaism--that the Kohanim--or the blood descendants of Aharon--were only allowed to marry within the Tribe of Levi.  The Halachic ruling on their "Jewishness" is NOT based solely on the Mother at birth like the rest of Judaism; because the Kohanim were the descendant family of Aharon, their lineage status is not passed through the Matrilineal birth, but through the DNA and RNA or the SEED of THE FATHER!!  My Fathers seed carries the SAME RNA and DNA HELIX as MOSES, and AHARON, ELIAZER, ABIHU and NADAV  and all the other Kohanim of Israel, past, present and future.  Nothing my Dad could "do" or "believe," or "fail to believe" can change his RNA and His DNA.  Nothing.  I am a High Priest in the Household of my YHWH and my life is one of service to the Jewish people.

          The Great Jewish Sage Maimonides, affectionately called "THE RAMBAM" and the most widely accepted Rabbinical Scholar within Judaic thought today states very clearly as recorded in the Mishnah Torah, Isurei Biah 13:17 "even if He recanted and worshipped idols, He is considered a Jewish Apostate; if He betroths a Jewish woman according to Halacha, they are betrothed; and an article he lost must be returned to him as to any other Jew. Having immersed He is a JEW."  From Aharon the Genetic line is PATRILINEAL which means that the bloodline has gone UNDISTURBED FOR THOUSANDS OF YEARS WITHIN THE NAME "EHRMAN-TROUT."  In Addition, the LEVITE PRINCESSES were not allowed to marry outside the Tribe of Levi unless it was to the King to Israel--or to the Son of a Kohenim--a Descendant of Aaron.  When I,  as a long lost former catholic on my Mothers side, married Sarah LEWIS--HODEL, and having gone through a formal conversion done in front of three witnesses to the Mikvah, taadaah!!  I was spiritually grafted back into the bloodline and will live out my days as EHRMAN (Aharon's Son)=TROUT and hopefully become a much better fisherman!  God made certain that the Torah's command to us as Levite Priests was clear and that I married a daughter of Levi as Torah commands and She married as Son of Aharon, as Torah Commands.  Pretty Cool huh??

          Between my research of the Onomastics origins of names and the Epistemology of words,  the Surname for Ehrmantrout--and an unrelated Judge in Southern California, I was reunited with my Jewish lineage that for certain--goes back to Landau, and Russia/Germany and currently the Ukraine on my Fathers side and a wonderful Irish tradition on my Mothers, may She rest in peace. What's in a name?  Plenty if you look for what God has left you.  So--what does it all mean? 

          Dr. Weiss has studied the Onomastics origins of Jewish surname populations from both Germany and the Ukraine area including where the "Ehrmantrout" families oldest records are found.  The Oldest Ehrmantrout that I have found to this date was the Jewish Great Grandfather of the Ehrmantrout Clan: "Georg Ehrmantrout,"  who was born in Germany and moved to and died in Landau, Russia, in 1792.   According to record keepers I spoke with, Odessa Ukrainian Archivist Minister Igor Komarovsky, in Odessa Ukraine, the Jewish Shtetl of  Landau--has been called several names since the advent of  Communism.  It has been called "Landau," and "Beresan," (also a province) and "Cherson," (which we could compare to a State in the USA)  not to mention "South Russia" and today, at the writing of this article, "Landau"--the Shtetl of the Ehrmantrout familial lineage as far back at 1792 C.E. is now known as "SIROKOLANIVKA, Ukraine."  This is the origin of where my various Patrilineal families have come from and lived.  These we both German and Russian, which matches everything the elders of our family have testified to on my Father's side of the family.

          The oldest recorded "Ehrmantrout" was named "GEORG EHRMANTROUT" and he was born in 1792 in Germany and died in Landau, Russia.  My Great Ancestral Grandfather "GEORG EHRMANTROUT" was married to "BARBARA FLECK EHRMANTROUT." Great Ancestral Grandmother Barbara Ehrmantrout's maiden name was "FLECK" which is Jewish according to over 379 records of the "FLECK" Clan in the world famous Jewish Generations Database.  GEORG and BARBARA FLECK EHRMANTROUT had a daughter named "MARIANNA EHRMANTROUT" who was born in 1830 as a Jewish baby girl in Landau, Russia, and She died sometime in 1891 in Landau, Russia where She lived her life..

          MARIANNA EHRMANTROUT married another Jewish man named JAKOB HAGEL. Now MARIANNA EHRMANTROUT married JAKOB HAGEL, the Son of JACOB HACKEL (According to Dr. Weiss, in Onamastic research this spelling variant is not unusual for the time period as literacy rates were low among the general population of the late 1800's) So in searching both the surnames HAGEL and HACKEL both come up with significant ties to the American Jewish Community as is verified on the Jewish Generations website.  So my Great Ancestral Grandmother, MARIANNA EHRMANTROUT HAGEL was the Jewish wife of JAKOB HAGEL, the son of the Jewish man named JAKOB HACKEL and his Jewish Wife named ANNAMARIE  RIEDINGER. A quick check on her maiden name "REIDINGER" notes that ANNAMARIE REIDINGER HACKEL was also Jewish .  So JAKOB HACKEL and ANNAMARIE REIDINGER HACKEL had a son named JAKOB HAGEL and he was born 19 MAY 1837 in Landau, Russia, and died in 1891 in Landau, Russia" 3  JAKOB HAGEL and MARIANNA EHRMANTROUT HAGEL had two children "JAKOB HAGEL" ( aside from being a "good Jewish Name" this pattern also follows Halachic or Orthodox naming rituals that have endured since the 2nd Temple Period of Jewish History) and ELISABETH HAGEL and of course they were both Jewish. 

          I could continue doing this all the way through MARIANNA EHRMANTROUTS recorded lineage, and go back and list GEORG EHRMANTROUTS extended lineage from 1792 to the present, but suffice it to say that there was not a marriage in GEORG's or MARIANNA's ancestral line from Landau, Russia to North Dakota in America until around 1940's and beyond that was not traditionally Jewish people marrying Jews.  GEORG EHRMANTROUT WAS A JEW, FROM THE TRIBE OF LEVI AND THE FAMILY OF AHARON THE KOHEN.  HE MARRIED A JEWISH WIFE, RAISED A JEWISH DAUGHTER WHO HE GAVE AWAY TO ANOTHER JEWISH MAN.  THE JEWISH GENERATION WEBSITE SAYS THAT THE NAME "EHRMANTROUT" IS JEWISH AND IT IS. 

          Now let me be clear,  I do not debate that at some point the family converted to catholicism and passed this down to differing individuals in the family and I commend them on their faith.  This is not the point of restoring the JEWISHNESS OF THE EHRMANTROUT FAMILY.  The point is, and only is about walking as KOHANIM in the earth, as a sign and a wonder to the others who were at one time Jewish, and whose emigrating relatives converted to Catholicism, or Protestantism, or anything else you can state.  It is about informing others on the "ROOTS OF THEIR PEOPLE AND THEIR FAITH" which has saved my life forever.  One must remember that we are in no means condemning Catholics--this would be childish, foolish and against our own family interests. 

          No living Catholic today--whose people were once a Jew and converted on or about the BOLSHAVIK REVOLUTION PERIOD in Russia had anything to be ashamed of.  In Judaism, the greatest of all Mitzvot you can do--is protect life at all costs.  I am only trying to address the truth and the Skeptic's who have viciously attacked me for proclaiming our Jewishness in an unwarranted manner and not to alienate practicing catholics as we as Jews are commanded to love our neighbor as we were once aliens in the land of Egypt before YHWH led us out by His mighty hand.  Additionally, not many catholic or christian people know much about the BOLSHAVIK REVOLUTION and what happened to the practicing Jews of area's like Landau, and Odessa which at that moment were part of Russia. 

          There were many Russians who hated the Jewish people unfairly, and they showed their disapproval of Jews by the practice of instituting MANY "Pogroms" against Jewish Families and in the Jewish Villages called "SHTETL' s" which were little pockets of Jews that would live close to one another for safety.  This survival strategy was only one of the ways that the  Jews survived the horrors of Anti-Semitic hatred perpetrated against the Jewish Community.  A second way was to practiced by many who came to America, especially from Eastern Europe and was to convert to Christianity just before coming to the United States; with the thought that a catholic will not be the object of a "Pogrom" (once again, Pogroms were organized State sanctioned Terror episode where Jews were both killed and beaten mercilessly and their positions were stolen as a result of Government sponsored anti-Semitism.  The most infamous of all the "Pogroms" of modern contemporary history is the Nazi's and "Crystal Nacht" or the "Night of Broken Glass;" and bones and jaws and on and on it went.  Crystal Nacht served as the unholy kickoff of the Shoah (or the "Holocaust" in Nazi Germany).  Conversion was common during the dispersion of the Spanish Sephardic Jewish Community of the 1400's, and many other periods--far too many to name here. [For more information on Spanish and Sephardic Dispersion see research by Dr. Dell Sanchez--as Dr. Sanchez does excellent work on that historical community]  

          But let me state for the record, I am a Jew, the Son of Levite Priests, who was once catholic as are many of my relatives.  I have been researching the EHRMANTROUT family line as well as the VERY HONORABLE Wayne, O'Neal, and Carmichael lineage of my Mother now of blessed memory.  One other interesting note, I came across a relative--a CARMICHAEL who lives in Eretz Israel (the Land of Israel).  Anyone interested in Genealogical research and Onamastic research will have to do what I have done, which is expend the energy and expense in  continuing to scour record after immigration record.  However, the rewards you find along the way are significant. 

          One of my favorites is that I have actual copies of the Ships Manifest that shows Great Grandfather  Ehrmantrout, arriving in the United States in 1900 and making his way to North Dakota where he settled after leaving New York for a farming life that leads me to my own Grandfather, who was a world famous Bronco Busting Cowboy that is in the Cowboy Hall of Fame in Mandan North Dakota at the Cowboy Museum according to my Father.  This Grandfather, Tony Ehrmantrout is laid to rest in Portland, Oregon where I met my beloved bride Sarah--the Levite Princess.  What is in a name?  As you can see now--a very great deal.

The Ehrmantrout name has been spelled in differing variants throughout the centuries for example:

       EHRMANTRAUT, EHRMANNTROUT, IRMINTRAUT, ARMENTRAUT, ERMANTROUT, ERMENTRAUT et al 

          One thing about the epistemology of our name is that no matter what the butchered spelling--we are all related at some point.  The EHRMANTROUT'S are rumored to have been German--and Russian and the correct answer is BOTH.  How can you be both?  Easy if you consider the fluid nature of interaction between the peoples of the Landau and the Odessa Region of the Ukraine today which has been both a German Settlement and a Russian Settlement.  One thing is clear, the EHRMANTROUT's were a part of a Jewish Shtetl in a catholic town between 1880 and 1900 when they emigrated from what was then "Landau, Russia" on various boats to the United States--with the majority taking land deals in North Dakota which is where my Family is from after we left New York where I lived.  My Father and his Brothers all grew up on the harsh farmland of North Dakota with my Grandparents.  When the Grandparents divorced, Grandmother moved to Idaho and the family fanned out from there.  Some to picturesque "Bonner's Ferry" and some in Coeurd'Alene, Idaho and Spokane, Washington and other Ehrmantrout's to  New York and other points east like Ohio, Philadelphia, and Washington DC.     

          One thing that the speed of modern globalization has caused is a spreading out a familial bases that once were centralized.  This has made many Americans and others become out of touch with their own lineage.  However, without knowing where we come from aren't we just bound to passing on the same broken system on to our children and their children?  The "Onomastics" I was able to trace far beyond the memory of any living Ehrmantrout who has attempted to study our lineage and to reconnect with my ancestors that I never knew about who lived in 1792.  Our names are an exact spelling match--and out faith is the same; we have much in common "Grandfather Georg" and I. 

          The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob who is Yeshua Messiah has blessed me with reconnection with a history that was long abandoned in the hope that it would allow us to live a life free of persecution.  Is it not dripping with sweet irony that the thing that drove me to investigate these matters was the very persecution that my relatives hoped would never occur here in America?  Interesting to say the very least.  I encourage all who have the feeling that they are Jewish to search and search--and never take no for an answer; the Sages say that "if you have one drop of Jewish blood in you that you will begin to burn for Israel and the Jewish people."  It took me years to find all this information and be able to track my Grandfather "Tony" back to Great Grandfather "Georg" Ehrmantrout in the old country.  Along the way I met many wonderful people at Synagogues in North Dakota, and Rabbi's in the Ukraine and everything in between.  To say the least the journey of reunification and discovery was particularly satisfying.  Really, it matters very little in my relationship with the God of Israel, as I was grafted in through the broken and bloody sacrifice of Yeshua ben Yosef who offered himself in my place; but the "talking blood" that the Sages of Israel talk about in the Talmud Torah is just that, and it will not easily be silenced.  To know that we are blood relatives, and I have many more extended Jewish relatives all over the United States and in Europe is a wonderful feeling to be sure.

          There is much in a Name; and like a young fool, I almost gave away the most valuable thing that I have today by changing my name in a drug haze.  But thanks be to God that the Ruach Elohim--the Spirit of Holiness,  was watching over my shoulder.  Not only was I able to restore my name in honor of my Father; but I was able to find out that someone was stealing my identity and that I was a descendant of Moses and Aharon themselves.  I have been blessed with "nachas" so that my Sons and Daughters will know the truth and will hopefully it will never again be a truth separated from us as a family.  And as the Chief Rabbi for the Ukraine said to me in an email just days after my blessed Mothers passing, "It’s very praiseworthy, that you are researching your family heritage. Every Jew must know his roots."

          Lastly, there is free video teaching on this website, and will be more in the future that will say "ARI CROCKETT" from time to time, and some that will say "ARIEL EHRMANTROUT."  The only difference is the timing of the original video shoot.  Anything marked "Crockett" came from prior to 2007, and anything marked "Ehrmantrout" is post 2007.  Thanks be to the Elohim of Heaven and earth that I am the Ariel Ehrmantrout, son of Milo Ehrmantrout, the son of Anton "Tony" Ehrmantrout of the North Dakota Ehrmantrouts, of the German Ehrmantrouts of the Landau, Russian Ehrmantrout's, of the lineage of Aharon and Moses--the men of God.  I was Crockett--but thanks be to YHWH--the God whom I serve because of His wonderful mercy and grace. He protected me and restored my lineage to me when I was older and mature enough to be respectful of the incredible gift passed on to me by my forefathers who go all the way back--Father to Son--to Aharon and Levi.  May the God of Aharon bless all Ehrmantrout's everywhere with the knowledge of who they are and where they come from in Yeshua's Name.  What's in a name--how would you answer it?
