"And it shall come to pass...
That from one New Moon to
another,
And from one Sabbath to
another,
All flesh shall come to worship
before Me,
says the
LORD." -
Isaiah 66:23
We are often asked "Hey does your
Church worship the Moon?
NO! This
question alone tells us just how far of the mark we have been led by
the "Wolves" of the last day.
Isaiah 66:23 as it depicted above--is a COMMANDMENT; just
like "DO NOT MURDER--and "Love your Neighbor as yourself. Commandments are not
SUGGESTIONS, but they are commandments--but each time you hear me
say that word "commandment" you think: "Law" which translates to
"bondage" which translates further to being put "back under the
LAW;" and nothing could be farther from the truth.
The ROSH CHODESH [or Head of the New
Month] allows God's children worldwide to remain on the same
schedule throughout the world. Regardless if you are
a Christian in Temecula California, or an Orthodox Jew in Tel Aviv,
Israel, God has ONLY one family of chosen people who He calls
"Israel" and you are either "born in naturally" to Israel or you are
in need of being "born again--and grafted in" to the people called
Israel through the Lord Yeshua--Jesus Christ.
So, how does a Christian Celebrate
the "New Moon?" We
thought you would never ask:
1. Celebrating the New Moon is
a wonderful time each month where the family meets for a "Festive
Meal" and where the Women in the House or Honored by the Men and
served. (The New Moon is cyclical and a guiding light at
night--these are just a few of the reasons that we honor our Women
during this time; and Fathers--do not forget your Daughters
too!)
2. Everyone in the Family needs to
blow the Shofar--the "Rams Horn Trumpet" announcing the Rosh
Chodesh. (You can purchase a Ram's Horn Trumpet from any online
vendor in Israel, and when you do
you will guarantee the blessing of your Jewish Brothers and Sisters
who give their lives to make sure we have access to these Shofar
Horns!!)
3.
Lastly but not least--we have to ask God to bless our
families and friends with a great and prosperous New Month. We say the following
prayer:
"YHWH Father God] please grant me
and my loved ones a life of peace, a life of goodness, a life of
blessing, a life of honorable work, a life of bodily health, a life
of fearing heaven and fearing wrongdoing, and a life that has no
shame..." The prayer then announces to the Family and Friends in
attendance: “The New Month of _______________ (insert the Hebrew
Month in this space) will be on 4th day of the week. May it come to
us and all Israel for goodness.
Bashem Yahushua--in the Name of Jesus-- Amen”
This Feast, like all of God's Feast
Days and Festivals are not at all burdensome, but they are wonderful
times of Family, and Children, of Obedience and Blessing, and Yeshua
is in the midst of it all.
Just remember that God still loves families, and He gave
Christians this wonderful blessing as well and you are free to
rejoice with Jews and Observant Christians everywhere that we are
ONE United People called Israel--and that Jesus IS
the long awaited Messiah!
Shalom unto you--meaning
"peace, with nothing missing and nothing broken" in
Jesus Name Amen!!
